IIkon Intelligence

Early stage

We're building it with the people who build things.

Ikon Intelligence is building AI software for commercial mechanical, plumbing and electrical contractors, starting with change orders that never get paid on GC jobs. It isn't built yet. We're working with a few contractors to shape it around how their jobs actually run.

Straight about where we are

We're building software, and it isn't built yet. When we talk, we start with your real jobs. If what we're building could fit your business, we'll say so plainly and ask whether you'd like to be one of the few contractors we shape it with. No is a fine answer.

What you tell us stays private

We never share your name or your company's name, and we won't quote you, even anonymously, without your written OK. If you choose to share any documents, we sign a mutual NDA first.

Something back for your time

Once we've spoken with enough owners for it to be useful and anonymous, you get a short summary of what owners in your trade are telling us, with no names attached.

Why we're starting here

AI is arriving in construction later than in office industries, and it's arriving quickly.

information and professional-services businesses use AI (Census Bureau, published April 2026)
~4 in 10information and professional-services businesses use AI (Census Bureau, published April 2026)
construction businesses use AI (Census Bureau, published April 2026)
< 1 in 10construction businesses use AI (Census Bureau, published April 2026)
contractors started or increased their use of AI in the past year (industry survey, late 2025)
6 in 10contractors started or increased their use of AI in the past year (industry survey, late 2025)

Before anyone builds for this industry, we want to hear from the people who run it. Our view is that what lasts here will be decided less by the technology than by whether it fits how these businesses actually work, and owners know that better than anyone. So we're not asking you about technology. We're asking how your business runs.

Sources: U.S. Census Bureau, Business Trends and Outlook Survey (April 2026 AI supplement), as summarized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, “AI adoption in business grows steadily but unevenly” (May 2026). Shares are of businesses, not workers. Since November 2025 the survey asks about AI use in any business function, so these figures aren't comparable with earlier Census figures. Associated General Contractors of America and Sage, 2026 Construction Outlook survey (951 firms, November–December 2025). That survey is voluntary and leans toward larger general contractors, so it reads higher than the Census figure. AGC reports the share was 44 percent a year earlier.

This isn't my first company. This time I'm spending the first months learning from owners before writing a line of product code. If we spoke on the phone and you'd like to check who I am, this is me.
